Once you master how to speak about past habits, it’s time to put it to a good use and walk down memory lane.
situation
You weren’t so sure about it but your agent and your fan club insisted on it: you are writing your memoirs.
You are the greatest singer alive. Beyonce may be Queen Bey, Madonna the Queen of Pop and Elvis the King of Rock but you, you are the Empress. Nobody has sold more records than you, filled up more concert venues and had more fans. Ever. People line up for hours or even days just to get a glimpse of you.
Everybody knows your name and your songs, you rule this world. However, nobody cares about that. They already know everything there’s to know about your career. Your fans crave for details of your past life, when you were a nobody like them.
Even though you are a skillful artist, writing your memoirs is a bit overwhelming, a bit too much. You have committed to this and now you want to see it follow through so you have decided to hire a biographer and get it out of the way asap. You’ve never been that kind of full-of-yourself artist anyway.
task
Your agent has put you through with an amazing writer, who is eager to start and has already emailed you several questions to start off with. Let’s get down to business, you think. There’s no time like the present!
