You are running some errands dressed casually. You were just going to buy some groceries and maybe get some junk food because you feel like treating yourself to a big ass hamburger.
Suddenly, out of the blue, you get a text from your bestie from your college years. She totally forgot to tell you that the following day there’s a class reunion and the dress code is formal attire. OMG, you have absolutely nothing proper to wear! How dare she?
Anyway, you really want to go so you get into an upscale store flaunting your pony-tail, that comfy Disney hoodie you’ve had since junior high and a couple of Costco bags. You wouldn’t normally wear that to buy a gown but duty calls.
The minute you set foot in the store, the shop assistant gives you the look and when you ask if they have the dress you want in your size, she talks you back saying it’s too expensive for you.
